I walked in my graduation ceremony last Friday. It was a little on the long side, but it was filled with some fun and emotional moments for me so I'm glad I participated.
I have to thank Jon for being so supportive to me throughout these past two years. He has been such a champ putting up with me being gone for school or studying all the time and he always had time for a "you can do this" pep talk when I was feeling down.
Here is one of my dad's signature poses. A "look off into the distance so this doesn't look posed" shot. (We've been teasing him for the last 20 years about his photography).
Congratulations!! I can tell you guys are trying to not laugh in the last one - cute!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! How exciting!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations... you've done yourself proud! Now what are you going to do with all that time you used to spend studying and writing papers???

ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaaay!! Congratulations Rebekah! Supportive husbands are very awesome :)
ReplyDeleteBe thankful your dad's signature picture isn't too terrible... my dad likes to take pictures when we're eating or from very unflattering angles because he thinks it's hilarious. Not so much, no.
Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Rebekah! What a great accomplishment and I'm in awe of all the great crafting you do in addition to school.

ReplyDeletecongratulations to you! can't wait until I join you as a diploma-carrying librarian.
ReplyDeletehmmm.... your dad's signature pose sort of looks like you're posing for another photographer, off to the right. but i love the bokeh on the back trees and the interesting lines created by that line of trees and the fence.... maybe your dad is on to something.... :)
Way to go! you deserve it as you worked so hard. hope it brings you to good things in life.
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful news! Finishing a master's degree is a whole different beast than undergrad- it's interesting to look at what you think of as 'important' in your studies as a wise grad student. Also, the study breaks sure are different than they were as a young Jedi! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy having some time for yourself again! Congrats!
Way to go, I remember well all the work that goes into a degree... If I concentrate really hard, I can convince myself that you're not posing in the last shot, or rather, you were posing, until someone yelled your name to the left of the picture ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those evenings that you no longer have to feel like you *should* be doing something for school!
Cheers,
Christine
congratulations!!!!!!!
