I can finally stop making quilts for a while now that the last of my unfinished quilts is complete! Yay! I definitely need a break from my sewing machine for a while now. It seems like I've been free motioning for the last week straight and sewing on bindings like there's no tomorrow.
I switched up my normal stippling routine for this quilt and freehanded rows of loops instead, à la glittergoods.
I went with lime green for the binding and hot pink for the background and I really like how all of the colors contrast with the navy blue. I think this is my favorite quilt so far this year. It's just so bright and cheery and fun!
I love the color combinations here. The lime green is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the dark blue sashing, it's so unusual and it looks great with the lighter blue block borders. Nice job with the loopy free motion quilting too, it looks awesome :D
