Jon and I saw one of our favorite bands, Sigur Rós, perform at the Fillmore Detroit on Tuesday night. It was an emotional evening, both because of the great depth Sigur Rós portrays in its music and because their music reminds me of so many events and milestones that Jon and I have gone through these past five years.
I loved their finale of Gobbledigook, complete with a drum line and confetti. This picture definitely doesn't do it justice.
One day, we hope to travel to Iceland to see them perform live. One day...
oh their music is truly moving...
ReplyDeletelooks like lots and lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I'm jealous! How wonderful that you got to see them. I have a friend who will be in Japan while they're there and he has tickets. I would have loved to have seen some of their shows in Iceland that they did for Heima.
ReplyDeleteoh this looks like so much fun! just up our alley!!!
ReplyDeleteThe name of that band sounds very familiar. I will have to check them out. Looks like you had a wonderful time. :~)
ReplyDeleteWe just saw them in San Diego last night! Such an amazing show! They are some of our favorite live performers. I think we will always go to any show they have in town :)

ReplyDeleteOoh, sign me up for a roadtrip (or flight) to Iceland. It sounds like you had a fantastic time. I love that they place it was at is called "the Fillmore". I grew up in a small town called Fillmore. Such a weird name, people made fun of it all the time.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been there in years, seems like a lifetime ago.
